The performance of your engine is controlled by software. Although the software is hosted on your vehicles computer (ECU) the computer itself is just hardware, the clever bit is the software.
A remap by any name, involves the reprogramming of your engine management system software.
The Quality of the software file is everything, the difference between a bad file and a good one really can be chalk and cheese.
As the vehicle owner, it is impossible for you to tell what is a good file and what is a bad file, but that is where we come in.
